9/11 Vintage Bolt-Action Match Results
No Pictures today...... sorry. Just TOO HOT....

Scores subject to M1GarandFan's verification...
PhillipM had his '03 "cooking" and showed us how it is done. CONGRATS on your WIN today.
The Garbo brothers were trash talking each other on their shooting skills. The older Grabo finally came out on top. I think "J" owes "D" a few beers............
Notice the Standing Slow-fire scores..... They ALL suck. By the time we got to this stage, everyone was about GIVE OUT. I think it was hotter today than at the August match. My shooting mat got so hot it HURT to lay on it..............
Poor M1GarandFan.... his 1917 Enfield didn't seem to want to hold a zero. The sights were not loose, but the bullets were going all over. Maybe he is not holding his mouth correctly.............
REMEMBER... Next Saturday is the BIG trip to Camp McCain. Those GREEN PLASTIC ARMY MEN don't stand a chance against us.

You're right, it was hot down at Bogue Chitto as well. Wish Alex and I could've shot this one with you guys with our Swedes...we really need to coordinate! Congrats Phillip M !

Sorry I missed it, but can't say I missed the heat. It was hot enough just sitting watching soccer game.

I'd suspect loose action screws. It sure is a pretty Winchester.

Scores are correct, SGF. Yeah, I thought I had it pretty well zeroed on the gong and then it couldn't hit paper when we started. I'll check the action screws Phillip. Thanks for that info, I should have tried that at the range. Good thing, though, is after the match Dennis and I got our ARs zeroed in for the McCain trip and mine were all hitting in the little circle after about 4 shots to make adjustments. Looking forward to hitting the "enemy" in Grenada.PhillipM wrote:Poor M1GarandFan.... his 1917 Enfield didn't seem to want to hold a zero. Well due to a quirky rule my second x was dq even though I cut it dead center. You can have yours if I can have mine, lol!
