Trick about cleaning milsurp firearms

A military firearm that has been stored a long time can have dried grease in the barrel. Also, inexperienced shooters sometimes will shoot a barrel with grease in it. Either way these bores can look rough. I find that a bronze brush with carburetor cleaner on it will clean this hardened grease out of the bore. I have had several rifles that looked terrible in the bore and they wound up bright and shiny after this treatment.
Of course, bores fired with corrosive ammo and neglected are rusty and no amount of cleaning will help.

You put the wood in the dishwasher like Captain, think that was him? Turns on the dishwasher and stands post at the window in case Mrs. Captain comes home early.
Captain, how fast can you unload the furniture out of the dishwasher after you see her make the turn at the end of the block?

back on topic. Has anyone ever thougth about getting a second hand ultra sonic machine??? You dont know what clean is untill you use one of those. They make them in all sizes but once you get past the common size of maybe a foot square they turn into mega $$$$
