Dan Wesson .357

Post by COWBOYCOPUS on Mon Oct 04, 2010 7:54 pm

Anyboby know anything about these revolvers? I just picked up one that I think is missing a part.. The cyl. moves to far to the rear when you eject the empties. There is a "D" shaped hole where I "think" a cyl. stop should be. Can anyone tell me if thats right..
Now I will "try" to post a photo.
Can't get photos tu up load!!!

RIght HERE!!!
It does sound like the cyl stop has fallen out, ( some are pressed in, some are molded in). easy fix, cheap part - just contact CZ-USA ( they bought out DW). They can fix you up in a jiffy.

Lots of helpful folks at:

Dan Wesson marketed their M14/M15 revolvers under the "High Standard Sentinel" name for a couple of years during the 1970's. I'm getting ready to put one up for sale in the "Classifieds". Smile

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I found CZ-USA this morning and called, it's in the mail. You can't order online you have to call. Not cheap by my book, $17 plus $9 S&H for a part the size of a pea. Thought about making one but with my clumsey hands it wouldn't look right. I'd like to see yours "gonzo" when it hits the market. Anybody got any barrels for sale???
