Don't really know. All I know is it's .308 w/10 round mag. and it's "IN STOCK".

All I will need now is good .308 brass and a little time to shoot it, if I can get it. I guess I will know tomorrow. This thing has the best reviews of any rifle that I've read yet.

I have been looking at this rifle for some time now, I have read many good reviews of this rifle's out of the box accuracy (no surprise, it's a Savage). The looks are an issue for some, not so much for me, but I would like to see one with a Magpul PRS instead of the six position stock. The PRS to me is a much more sensible fit for the rifles mission...

The ONLY thing holding me up is my 'illogical' self imposed rule for Stainless Steel actions and barrels...

These rifles are ALOT of bang for the buck for a mass manufactured rifle...

I like the look of it as well, I hope its in stock and you can get it. I would like to hear some first hand field reports on it. Not the ones from the gun mags. Savage is really putting out some great guns right now.

Got it ordered. It will be in next Tuesday or Wednesday. I've got to get some bullets loaded so I will be ready to shoot it. 24" barrel 1 in 10 twist. Made for the heavier bullets.

$1423 for that model DC add 15% and that would be about what it would go for

I don't know about the 220's. Can't find any load data for them. Gonna start with some 175 Matchkings with H335 at about 38 grains. Probably some 168 Matchkings thrown in to boot. I'll probably buy a box of match off the shelf to try also. Can't shoot very much. I've got to look at the rifle when it comes in to see if I can get rid of all of the rails on it and just put regular bases on . If I can, I'll just mount the scope temp. til I can make the changes. Load data is in the book for 30-06 using the 220's. Maybe you would want to load some hunting loads to try while we're there?
