what size does the picture have to be? I can't find anything on DPS website, and I only saw one mentioning on here, something about the size of a passport photo...care to elaborate? mine is in a safe deposit box...

Do you have Print Shop on your hard drive?
I have a Print Shop grid that is the correct size. Take a few digital pictures of yourself, fit them to the grid, print it out, and cut out the picture you prefer.
If you have Print Shop, send me your email address and I'll send you the grid as an attachment.

Walgreens (probably others as well) about $8 for "passport" photo, takes maybe 15 min.

Get it notarized before you go for fingerprints. I used my Bank.
My paperwork & fingerprints were all done in less than an hour.

BTW - Hair spray is one good way to get fingerprint ink off your fingers (or so I'm told!).
They scanned my fingers on some contraption, no ink.
