Yeah that would be pretty good....Especially if someone has a timer...although right now for me I'm far more concerned with trying to get the basics or "technique" down....deer season is about to get "serious" come Nov 21.

Well I'll bump this back up. I plan on joining Magnolia if they'll have me on 3-6. Will they have a shoot the next day? I want to get some eyeball time in and try to learn some things. This RO test is a bugger, hopefully we'll all pass. I'm hoping Tom will show up with some gear to sell but I need to find a good pistol out of what I got before I buy something specific for one pistol. If ya'll shoot, I may bring some for comments (not to fire) on the usefullness of one for a starter.

USPSA matches are the 1st Sunday of each Month at Magnolia Rifle and Pistol Club.

Obviously, its very beneficial to go see a match before you shoot one...But its fine just to go shoot one. The club has loaner gear for a first time shooter....

mhead I'm BTW at work right now but we could get together for a little informal practice at my place if you so desired. Or we could get together at Magnolia...we should all be members

Sid..get you a good production class semi...Glock, Sig, S&W M&P, XD, XDM in 9mm and shoot minor and come shoot the heck out of it... If you are gonna play this game...eventually you will be reloading your own ammo...There's just not getting around it....

If a 45 is to your liking...shoot single stack...ammo is gonna cost you a lot more...

I'd say you'd need to plan on 300 - 500 rds a month practice....if you really wanna move up...but what do I know?...I'm still in U class...There is a big 6 classifier match going on in South MS soon...can't make that either

Mailing off my RO test today...I've grown weary of it...fingers crossed

Yeah, you know I need the practice Neck. Got a few pistols to get started but need to buy something for that after I've shot enough matches. Don't mind holsters and stuff like that that didn't work out but pistols are to expensive to get something and then wish you'd got something else.
Trying to finish up my test, hopefully tomorrow but more likely this weekend. Down to the last few questions. Good luck with your test. If you miss the 85, can you take it again? Covered a lot of things but there was a lot to cover. Well written test, sure made you dig.
